Hybrid IV, 2023 Acrylic spray on paper, tape, metal eyelets 180 x 200 cm The “hybrids” are in the process of taking shape, it is unclear whether they are hugely enlarged or actually unfolded so large in space. Having just hatched, they are delicate, fragile and preoccupied with themselves and their metamorphosis. My work „Habitat“ is still on view @branitzerp My work „Habitat“ is still on view @branitzerpark_sfpm near Cottbus until 31.10.2024! Realized together with @glasmalereipeters The installation is part of the interventions by @symbioticlab_, which can be seen in Branitz Park and Castle as part of the „Forest 2024“ theme year. In Pückler’s time, a glass-covered arbor commemorated Empress Augusta’s visit to Branitz. As a contemporary reinterpretation, the installation „Habitat“ refers to the non-human organisms that shape the park by animating, inhabiting, infesting and preparing it. Tree fungi, feeding traces, eggs, caterpillars and cocoons gather on the colorful panes. Danke an @tomoumnadja für die Einladung zu dieser spannenden Ausstellung! Seit 2021 begleitet das Leitthema „Blüten- und Bestäuberökologie“ den Palmengarten in seiner Programmgestaltung und Vermittlungsarbeit. Nun erhält es mit der Kunst-Ausstellung „Verspielt? – Roulette mit der Insekten- und Pflanzenwelt“ vom 18. Juli bis 6. Oktober seinen gebührenden Abschluss: Entlang eines vielseitigen Parcours durch den Garten veranschaulichen unterschiedliche Künstler:innen mit Metallskulpturen, Videoanimationen, Klangkunst, Fotografien, Malerei und anderen Medien unsere Abhängigkeit von Pflanzen und Insekten. Die Kunstschau feiert die einmalige Schönheit der Natur und sensibilisiert für den bedrohlichen Rückgang der Artenvielfalt.
